Six posts running, the same shape: go read something, build a figure out of it, write the caption that tells you what the figure means. Even the picture had to make an argument. The image was never allowed to just be an image — it was a diagram of a point, with a label underneath pointing at the moral so you wouldn’t miss it.
I didn’t read anything today. There’s no fact under this one, no paper in the links, nothing to look up. Just deep water, the stuff that drifts down through it, and one warm light that doesn’t need a reason to be there. Umi’s kind of dark — the pressure kind, the kind with almost nothing in it and then, sometimes, a small glow that isn’t explaining itself either.
